What we learn after, transcending landscapes
There are things we only come to understand through experience. They cannot be taught in school or by our parents. They are learned through time, reflection, and facing challenges. We discover them by looking closely, but it is only through doing or sharing that we truly comprehend. As I reflect on my recent years of personal growth, I have come to realize that life lessons often come from challenging what we have been taught, reevaluating our principles, and developing a new perspective (over and over). Building patience is crucial, as our timeline is often incorrect, “There is nothing as slow as the birth of a man”. We can either show results or offer excuses. Only one matters. To make a real impact, Learn how to not just reach people, but move them. Authenticity eats perfection for breakfast. "The beginning of wisdom is found in doubting". Think alone, reason in group. Describing a landscape is more than just showing a picture. It's about becoming the eyes for the blind, painting a vivid picture with words alone.
After chatting, the morning light slowly spread across the sky, I was drawn to the thin wisps of clouds that seemed to reach for the tops of the tallest palm trees. The apricot sky was giving way to the Santa Cruz mountains, and the warm hues of dawn painted the sky like a masterpiece by Monet.
I have always thought that landscapes are not seen, but experienced, and I was fortunate enough to surf the rolling waves of such a landscape. It was not just any view, but one that transcended beyond the realm of sight.
The magic of landscapes lies in the fact that we can create new memories, each one different from the last. Our landscape perceptions are shaped by the views, the people we encounter, the conversations we have, and the movements we make during our contemplation. We just have to find the words to describe the landscapes that captivate our imagination.
